A Legacy of Digital Craft in Manchester’s Northern Quarter
Nestled in the heart of Manchester’s Northern Quarter, Typeslowly was more than just a digital creative studio—it was a bold experiment in design, interaction, and storytelling. From 2001 to 2016, this pioneering studio carved out a reputation for crafting digital experiences that resonated, blending artistic vision with technical precision.
During its tenure under the creative direction of Jason McReynolds, Typeslowly established itself as an incubator of ideas, pushing the boundaries of digital creativity at a time when the internet was still finding its voice. Whether through immersive web experiences, compelling visual narratives, or experimental interfaces, the studio's work left an indelible mark on the creative landscape.
In 2016, Typeslowly evolved into Player States, shifting its client focus to interactive entertainment. This transformation was more than a rebrand—it marked a natural progression, channeling the studio’s longstanding passion for storytelling and interaction design into gaming and digital experiences.
Today, this site stands as an archive, a curated collection of the formative works that defined Typeslowly’s early days.
